Story
I started running and racing on snowshoes in the Lake Tahoe area in the winter of 1998-99. Moved to Colorado and raced a bunch in the Rockies for a number of years. Nothing got me more fired up than the old Dash-for-Cash, 100-yard sprint on snowshoes before every 10K. Sometimes I won it, sometimes I didn’t. Sometimes I fell on my face right out of the blocks because I couldn’t contain myself. Used to race adventure races all over the place. Used to do triathlons all over the place. Competed in Norway in the Winter Triathlon World Championship. Now I chase two kids while wearing running shoes, bike shoes, snowshoes, skate skis, slippers. Occasionally, I hop in a race.
