Since the very beginning which looks like is somewhere around 19 years!!
My background is on the roads and track but while living in Boulder for the better part of my 20’s I met a young lad by the name of Adam Chase who invited me to race on the newly formed Atlas Snowshoe Team. In the years that followed I snowshoe raced all over the West and enjoyed every minute of it (well possibly with the exception of the Aspen Uphill...that was honestly one of the hardest “runs” I’ve ever done.) After having moved back East in 2000 I’ve enjoyed a second aerobic career racing here in New England on all surfaces and in all conditions.
Due to mild winter most of my racing in 2006 was done on the roads of New England where I had great success at distances ranging from the mile to the half marathon. Named by New England Runner magazine as the Maine Runner of the year in 2006.
Regain a portion of my former fitness and help to promote the great sport of snowshoeing here in the Northeast.
